Project Deeper Update 1.2

In this update we made significant changes to the game, including new stages, traps and mechanic changes to some other stuff. Here follows the details.

NEW ZONES!
  • We added two new mazes to the game. At this point you can only play each one once, from the smallest to the big one. They can be accessed though a new starter zone that contains 3 doors and the Shadow of Sorrow.
THAT'S A TRAP!
  • We had spikes, we had holes, and now we have rolling stones! Oh yeah, watch out for those while you venture in the darkness!
    • Known issue: as it is now, it is very hard to know from where the stone is coming, if at all. We are working on implementing a visual queue to inform the player about the imminent danger, but for now.... run, baby! RUN!
  • The mechanic of the hole trap has changed. Now it takes a bit more time to break (from 0.8s to 1s) and it DOES NOT CLOSE. So, beware when the ground cracks, 'cuz when it breaks, the hole stays there.
NEW ART!
  • We changed the start menu screen from the place holder art (shout out to my wife for rushing the place hold art so we could deliver a project witha face in time. Thank you, angel!!) to a oficial one to the game, with more clear instructions. Hope you guys like it;
  • Player sprite changed to the oficial one. Let us know what you guys think about it's design and colors;
  • New border implemented to show the limits of the window.

UPCOMING STUFF

For the next update we are working on smoothing out transitions (yeah... I know it's HORRIBLE as it is right now), solving know issues and hopefully optimize it to be playable on smartphones. There are some art updates being worked also, so expect a few more things to change. I'll provide more details as things come closer to be done.
